Plastic Metallic Foil
The When Water Falls project is an exploration of plastic waste and its impact on our natural environment, reflecting the complexities of human presence in today’s ecological landscape.
By sometimes situating the work in a natural setting, the project contrasts the beauty of the landscape with the stark reminder of human impact. It challenges viewers to reflect on the duality of creation and destruction inherent in our interactions with the environment.
The use of foil, and other synthetic materials reflects on synthetic nature and the artificial nature of our man-made world. It takes on new meaning as it transforms into an installation that encourages dialogue around sustain-ability, consumption, and the potential for renewal.
The foil is continuously re-used to create the next version of the work.
